Our martial arts programme helps children build confidence and focus alongside technical skills, while encouraging courtesy and respect in every class. Sessions are delivered by the experienced instructors from The Martial Arts Place.

A playful first introduction to kickboxing for preschoolers. Builds balance, coordination and listening skills, while burning off energy and growing early confidence, all with an emphasis on courtesy and respect.

Helps children develop coordination, discipline and confidence while mastering kickboxing techniques and age-appropriate self-defence skills in a supportive, structured environment.
45 minutes · Term-Time
A gentle introduction to grappling for little ones. Through playful games, children develop balance, body awareness and coordination while learning to listen, follow instructions and solve problems.
30 minutes · Term-Time
Children develop focus, confidence and problem-solving skills while learning practical grappling and self-defence techniques through safe, partner-based training.
45 minutes · Term-Time
Classes run in small groups so every child gets individual coaching and attention.
All instructors are DBS checked, fully insured, qualified first aiders and full-time professionals.
New children are welcome to book a trial class before committing to the term.
The autumn term runs from Monday 7th September to Sunday 13th December. Children enrol for the full term and attend the same class each week, helping them build confidence, develop their skills and progress consistently. View the Martial Arts Timetable online or download a PDF copy.
Yes. Our children's martial arts classes continue throughout half term. If your family is away, you're welcome to book a make-up class, subject to availability.
All martial arts classes at the Notting Hill Club are delivered by our partners at The Martial Arts Place. Their instructors are full-time professionals with extensive teaching experience and competitive experience at national and international level.
Yes. We encourage new children to book a trial class before enrolling for the term. It's a great opportunity to meet the instructors, experience a class and see if it's the right fit for your child.
Comfortable sports clothing is perfect for a trial class. If your child decides to join, we will let you know what uniform and equipment they will need.
Our classes welcome complete beginners as well as children with previous martial arts experience. Instructors adapt the training to suit each child's level.
Our programme includes a fun grading system to encourage self-improvement and carefully monitor progress. Gradings provide clear goals and celebrate each child's achievements as they advance.
